Sophia Boyer
Stanford University
Hi! My name is Sophia and I graduated from Stanford in 2020. I majored in International Relations (with a concentration in International Security and Comparative Governance) and minored in Military History. I graduated with an honors in International Security after completing a one-year honors program my senior year culminating in a thesis. Over my four years at Stanford, I was very active in campus research and community service. I conducted research for the Stanford Graduate School of Business's behavioral psychology lab and volunteered for the Stanford University Dance Marathon Organization. I was also a member of Greek Life. Outside of Stanford, I spent my summers interning at several public policy think tanks in Palo Alto and Washington, D.C. After graduating this past June, I moved to New York City to begin my job at a geopolitical consulting firm where I currently work. I'd love to help you navigate the challenging (and often times confusing) aspects of the college application process to get you closer to the college of your choice!

Isabella Gayoso
Penn State University
Hey! My name is Isabella and I am a rising Junior Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering double major with a minor in Entrepreneurship at Penn State. At Penn State, I hold several distinctions, including being a member of the honors college(Scheyer), the honors engineering scholars program (Leonard Scholars), and a recipient of the Provost Award. Professionally, I worked at SpaceX as an intern for my gap semester in the spring. This summer I am interning for Lockheed Martin Space. During my senior year application cycle, I gained admittance to several top universities, listed on my profile. I also earned several national, regional, and local scholarships including the Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship, and I have totaled over $150,000 in scholarship money to date. One of my areas of strength is scholarship applications and essays, both specific to a university or in a national or local application. I also thoroughly understand how to frame a college application in the best way possible by creating cohesive activity descriptions, essays, and short answer responses. I have worked with students in the Pittsburgh area and with International students. This is my first year with CollegeAdvisor, and I’m so excited to help students meet their goals!

Bryan Aldana
Stanford University
Hello there! My name is Bryan, and I am a recent graduate from Stanford! I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Bioengineering and a minor in Education. I spent most of my time working in labs as a Research Assistant studying cardiomyocytes or in a class as a Classroom Director leading fun and educative activities. I am excited by the endless possibilities STEM can provide to create positive change to the world, and I am incredibly passionate about making sure that everyone has an opportunity to be part of that change. In my free time, I enjoy making and creating with my friends through all kinds of arts including music and painting, diversifying my thoughts and skills. Applying to colleges as a pure physics major, I understand that not all paths are as direct as we would first like to imagine, and I can’t wait to help you on your journey to find your own path!

Ashley Emann
Harvard
I am a nontraditional student; when I graduated High School in 2015, I decided to enlist in the armed forces instead of heading directly to college. I worked two jobs, a myriad of clubs/volunteer organizations, and I was in the top ten of my class, but I still was not accepted into my dream university. Instead of settling into a college that I was unhappy with, I decided to enlist in the armed forces. I served honorably until 2019, when I made the tough decision to apply to colleges as a full-time student. I applied to four colleges with no hopes of being accepted into any of the Ivy Leagues, and surprisingly enough, I was. Three of them welcomed into the class of 2023. Two years later, I am an upcoming Junior studying Chemistry in the hopes of finding a career in forensics.
