Hi, I'm Karissa! I'm a graduate of Drew University's 7-year accelerated BS/MD program with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, and I'm now an M1 there myself, so I've been through every step of the journey I now help students navigate. I specialize in BS/MD admissions and know firsthand what these programs are really looking for beyond just grades and test scores. I've worked with students applying to programs including Brown PLME, NJMS, University of Pittsburgh, and Case Western PPSP, helping them tell their story in a way that's authentic, compelling, and true to who they are. I also enjoy working with traditional pre-med students, since much of what makes a BS/MD application strong — a genuine narrative, meaningful experiences, real self-reflection — is exactly what makes any pre-med application stand out.

I bring an insider's perspective paired with a clear, structured strategy, from finding the right-fit programs, to shaping a standout activities list and essays, to prepping for interviews. I enjoy helping students move from feeling unsure to genuinely confident in their path to medicine, whatever stage of that journey they're starting from.

As a medical school graduate and clinical research expert, I offer a wealth of experience in BS/MD program coaching. I have mentored aspiring students by providing strategic guidance on college admissions, curriculum planning, and internship placement to facilitate successful transitions into medical school and other graduate programs. I guide students through the complexities of standardized science and graduate entry examinations, ranging from the ACT Science section to the MCAT and GRE. I complement this technical preparation with personalized academic coaching, ensuring students are fully equipped to thrive at top-tier universities and in their graduate studies beyond. My passion lies in equipping students with the confidence and strategy needed to excel in their academic careers. I focus on securing entry into top-tier institutions, as these environments offer the high-caliber resources and competitive networking required to turn academic interest into a successful career. I currently work as a medical researcher in the field of pediatric neurology. In addition to my work, I find immense joy in mentoring students. My goal is to help candidates bring their stories to life, bridging the gap between a written application and the individual the admissions committee meets in person, ensuring that committees see the unique individual behind every application.

My name is Rachael, and I graduated from Northwestern University in 2023 as a theatre major, dance minor, and music theatre certificate recipient, and with additional studies in choreography and acting for the screen. I now use the education and connections that Northwestern provided me as a professional actor in Chicago, IL. Online Tutoring Experience with Varsity Tutors: I have previously tutored students in College Essays and ACT/SAT prep. I helped one student brainstorm and develop her personal statement for the Common App, and she sent me a thank you after she was accepted and committed to Princeton University! I am a professional musical theatre actor who studied music theatre and dance at Northwestern University. I know well the unique college application AND audition process that prospective MT students must go through. If you are looking for someone to help you navigate that process, select and prepare your audition material, put together dance reels and self-tapes, edit your theatrical resume, prepare you for in-person auditions, etc - look no further! During my college application process, I applied to around 25 different schools - even if you are not someone looking to study fine arts, I can still be a great resource as someone with experience juggling many different applications, deadlines, and essay topics. Of the schools listed below that I myself have been accepted to, I am referring to academic acceptance. I was not accepted for musical theatre at all of those listed, but can provide insight into both the application and audition processes.

Hello! My name is Isabella, and I am a 4th-year student with a Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering double major and minors in Entrepreneurship and IST for Aerospace Engineers at Penn State. At Penn State, I hold several distinctions, including being a member of the honors college (Scheyer), the honors engineering scholars' program (Leonard Scholars), and a recipient of the Provost Award. Professionally, I interned at SpaceX in Spring 2021, Lockheed Martin Space in Summer 2021, and a hypersonic start-up called Hermeus in Summer 2022. During my senior year application cycle, I gained admittance to several top universities, listed on my profile. I also earned several national, regional, and local scholarships including the Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship, and I have totaled over $150,000 in scholarship money to date. While in high school, I was active in several STEM extracurricular events, including the Summer Exposure Engineering Experience Program at the University of Michigan (received a scholarship to attend the summer camp and won the summer camp's $20,000/year Engineering Scholarship of Honor for use at UMich), MOSTEC at MIT, and CE^2 at Columbia University. One of my areas of strength is scholarship applications and essays, both specific to a university or in a national or local application. I also thoroughly understand how to frame a college application in the best way possible by creating cohesive activity descriptions, essays, and short answer responses. I have worked with students in the Pittsburgh area and with international students prior to joining CollegeAdvisor. This is my second year with CollegeAdvisor, and I’m so excited to continue helping students meet their goals!
